Why does the Remote Service require access to my Photos or media files?

The app may need access to your Photos or other media files for two reasons:

So you can download video clips or snapshots from the remote service. Photos, Videos or Gallery will be the default download location on the device.
So you can assign images stored on the device to User profiles or Location settings.
