Using Total Connect with Alexa

  • Log in to Total Connect 2.0 on your mobile device or the website.
  • Go to My Profile  on the app (or Profile  on the website)
  • Under Access, make sure your user code is saved. This is necessary for Alexa to function properly and must be applied to all Locations or  to the Location where you’ll be using Alexa.

Once this setting is made, Alexa can respond to these commands...

  • “Alexa, arm my home in Away mode.”
  • “Alexa, arm my home in Stay mode.”
  • “Alexa, arm my home in Night mode.”
  • “Alexa, disarm my home.”
  • "Alexa, arm {location name}"
  • "Alexa, discover my devices"

...and these questions:

  • "Alexa, is my home armed/disarmed?"
  • "Alexa, status of {location name}?"
  • "Alexa, is my home armed in away mode?"
  • "Alexa, is my home armed in stay mode?"
  • "Alexa, is my home in night mode?"
  • “Alexa, turn on [Scene Name]”

Please note:

  • If Alexa cannot run your scene, try simplifying its name in Total Connect. For a refresher on naming (in this case re-naming) scenes, see the FAQ How do I create a Scene?
