My garage door opener works with the manufacturer's app, but not the Remote Services app. What's going on?

Certain early-model Chamberlain and LiftMaster garage door openers and smart hubs are not compatible with Remote Services.
Please check your device's serial number and note that those listed here will NOT work with Remote Services:
Chamberlain garage door openers with serial numbers beginning in 0300
LiftMaster garage door openers with serial numbers beginning in 0400
