On the website, access Notifications on the left side of the screen.
When you click on Notifications, the selection expands to display your options, as seen below.
To create a Notification:
In the New Notification window, select the kind of Notification you want to create. The system displays a list of possible options based on the services you are subscribed to.
- Security: Be alerted when the system Arms or Disarms, when an alarm occurs or is cleared, when a door or window is opened/closed, when a sensor has a low battery, has been tampered with or been bypassed. Other triggers include 'Sync' events (when information on the remote system is synchronized with the system panel), loss/restoration of AC power and when the panel itself has been tampered with.
- Cameras: Issues alerts when new recordings or stills are triggered by:
- The security system's sensors
- When certain sounds are picked up by a camera's microphone
- When a camera has a low battery
- When a camera has been tampered with
- Video Doorbell: Includes alerts when the doorbell is rung as well as motion detection by the doorbell's camera.
- Devices: Includes alerts for status of scheduled events as well as changes in status or settings of select Wi-Fi enabled devices.
- Built-In Camera: Issues alerts when the system is disarmed, triggering a still photo of the person at the panel or when a look-in is initiated.
- Emergency Alert: The security system control panel on the premises can alert you when the remote service receives tornado warnings from recognized authorities. If you choose this option, you will need to specify your ZIP Code on your account's Locations page.
- Administration: "Sessions" are those times when your dealer or central monitoring station has full or partial access to your system. This can include Video Alarm Verification (VAV) and Security Professional Access (abbreviated on the menu as Instlr-Full Access).
If you have a security system and cameras, you can set your cameras to capture video clips or snapshots when selected events occur.
Select a combination of devices, events and conditions that will trigger the notification you're creating. On each succeeding page, click CONTINUE to create and save the combination of factors you're setting up.
- Note: If you select a disabled sensor, you'll have the option to enable it.
After choosing devices and events, you will choose who receives the notifications and select from a number of scheduling options.
- When satisfied with your settings, click SAVE.
- List to see all of the Notifications that have been set up
- Groups for all existing recipients of Email/SMS Text recipients
- Schedules for the established times when Notifications are sent
- Sensor Activity to select or review the different kinds of changes in your sensors that can be used to trigger Notifications
