You can delete your doorbell using the mobile apps or from the Total Connect website.

In rare circumstances, it may be necessary to delete your video doorbell from Total Connect before adding it back into the system.  However, the action of deleting this device should be carefully considered; if you have any questions, we recommend that you consult your security professional.

Using the iOS app:

  • On the app's home screen, touch  . 
  • Your installed cameras and doorbells are listed:

  • Touch the three vertical dots     to the right of the doorbell's preview image and name.
  • The doorbell's main Settings screen appears:

  • Touch DELETE DOORBELL. A confirmation dialog appears:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note, as the warning states, that removing the doorbell from your system will delete all its saved video clips from your account's clip storage, as well as events/activity records. 

  • Touch Yes to confirm and delete the doorbell from your system. 

Using the Android app:

  • On the app's Home screen, touch CAMERAS:

  • Touch the three vertical dots   to the right of the doorbell's preview image and name.
  • The doorbell's main Settings screen appears:

 

  • Touch DELETE DOORBELL. A confirmation dialog appears:

Deleting the VX1 Doorbell using the Total Connect website:

  • Click the gear icon  located to the right of the VX1's assigned name:

  • On the doorbell's Settings page, the DELETE DOORBELL text button is located at the bottom of the device's Information section on the left side of the page. 

 

  • Click DELETE DOORBELL. A confirmation dialog appears:
