IMPORTANT: Your system must be connected to a central station for the Duress function to work.
See your control panel's documentation for setting the system's Duress code. Please note that Duress codes can only be set or changed from the system control panel.
Duress can be triggered from the Remote Service's virtual keypad (scroll down for a diagram). Simply enter your system's 4-digit or 6-digit Duress code on the keypad.
Nothing will appear to change on the app or the system panel, but notification is sent to the central monitoring station, if your system is connected to a monitoring service.
If you are under threat, you can send a Duress notification while appearing to disarm or arm the system normally:
- When the system is armed: From the onscreen keypad, use the Duress code to disarm the system instead of entering a normal user code.
- When the system is not armed: From the onscreen keypad, use the Duress code to arm the system instead of entering a normal user code.
