ALL ALARMS MUST BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

False alarms do happen, but it’s best to err on the side of safety.

Sensor alarms (associated with doors and windows and motion detectors) will only occur when your system is armed.
Fire and CO (Carbon Monoxide) sensors are always active and the alarms they trigger can occur whether or not your system is armed.

FIRE alarms

If you see this icon, EVACUATE THE PREMISES IMMEDIATELY. Notify the local Fire Department from a safe location.

CO (Carbon Monoxide) alarms

If you see this icon, a high level of carbon monoxide has been detected. You should evacuate all occupants from the premises and immediately move to a location where fresh air is available, preferably outdoors.
From a safe location, contact your central monitoring company for further instructions.

NOTE THAT FIRE AND CARBON MONOXIDE ALARMS CANNOT BE CLEARED VIA REMOTE SERVICES. ALARMS OF THIS TYPE CAN ONLY BE CLEARED FROM THE KEYPAD ON THE SECURITY SYSTEM CONTROL PANEL ITSELF.

Sensor alarms

If you see this icon, a door or window sensor or motion detector has been tripped while your system is armed. Your mobile device or PC will display a zone number corresponding to the area where the sensor was activated.

If you are at home:

As with Fire alarms, you can elect to cautiously investigate the cause of a Sensor alarm, but it is always best to err on the side of caution.

If you are out of the house or just arriving home:

An intruder may still be on the premises or nearby. STAY AWAY and CONTACT THE POLICE from a safe location.
